The Annabelle Shotgun is a weapon used by Father Grigori in Ravenholm. The Annabelle is chambered for .357 Magnum, which makes it clear why this weapon is so powerful.

The player is not intended to use the Annabelle, but the player can spawn the weapon in the console. There is no view model for the weapon, so it takes the form of the SPAS-12 shotgun. It has a fairly low rate of fire, and holds only 2 rounds at a time, making reloads very frequent. It should be noted that the Annabelle fires a single bullet, rather than a "shotgun" effect.

Father Grigori is the only NPC that uses the Annabelle, and it is his signature weapon. In normal combat, Grigori wields the weapon with great skill and accuracy, and he usually manages to hit zombies in the head for an instant kill.

The Annabelle can only house 2 rounds at a time (as mentioned above), so Grigori has to reload frequently. While at first this isn't a problem when he spends his time on the rooftops of the buildings, this can become a problem when facing large numbers of zombies up close in the graveyard. Therefore, try not to leave Grigori to kill all the zombies himself, he'll most likely become overwhelmed.

• In Half Life 2, because Father Grigori can be killed, the player can pick up the Annabelle, but can only use it briefly as the screen fades to black when the game ends.

• Another way to aquire the Annabelle in Half Life 2 is right before Father Grigori throws you the regular shotgun on the rooftops near the watertower. You will see the Anabelle laying near him. In order to get it you must have 1 SMG grenade and a decent amount of health. Equip the SMG and line up your jump towards Father Grigori, then activate your sprint and as you near the ledge perform a grenade jump, firing the SMG grenade at your feet while simultaneously jumping. You should either grab the weapon through the balcony or end up next to Father Grigori. You must do this quickly or else Father Grigori will throw you the regular shotgun and pick up his Annabelle shortly after. It should be noted that this was achieved in the Xbox version of Half-Life 2 but does not mean it cant be done in other versions. Also the Annabelle's weapon model is that of the regular shotgun yet when you equip it it is located beneath the Gravity Gun slot and labeled "SHOTGUN" in a similar fashion to the first Half-Life. The Annabelle uses magnum rounds and has a impressive firing distance. Another way to obtain Annabelle, is when Grigori goes to give you the shotgun, just carry on until after finding the shotgun by a corpse. Go back and the gun will still be there but Grigori wont it is recommended you are good in health stand right by the edge of the building and use a grenade jump and you should be where Grigori stood. Grab Annabelle, jump back.

• Yet another way to obtain the Annabelle rifle/shotgun is to simply use the gravity gun to pry a radiator from its hinges in any of Ravenholm's buildings. You must then carry the radiator to the end of the level, and set it underneath the fence that Father Grigori holds for you. When the fence closes on the radiator, it will fly towards Grigori, killing him, and allowing you to use the Annabelle, until you are forced to drop it at the end of the level.

• The mod Zombie Master has a modified version of Annabelle, which can hold 11 rounds with 20 more in reserve
