The Barn Advisor in an Advisor seen in Episode Two that crashed with its pod near a barn and contained in its life support system. It is first seen in the chapter Riding Shotgun.

When Alyx and Gordon are driving to White Forest with their newly found Muscle Car, they spot smoke on the ridge next to a barn, where they discover a crashed Advisor Pod. They come the to conclusion that an Advisor is in the area. They travel to a barn where they are blasted with psychic attacks and discover an Advisor in the barn. Inside they find dead rebels with no external wounds, showing they were killed by the Advisor. As Gordon and Alyx find it, they decide to kill it by shutting off its life support under the Victory Mine Vortigaunt's advice. They do so by opening the generator so Gordon can punt the Energy Orb from its field, but Alyx, Gordon and a rebel corpse are pinned to the wall by the telekinetic force of the surviving, but wounded Advisor. The Advisor picks up a barrel and crushes it; then examines a rebel corpse and stabs it with its tongue-like appendage. After the failing life support system explodes, the Advisor, approaching Gordon, is stopped and flees. Combine forces are alerted and attack the barn.
