The Fire Extinguisher is a weapon cut from Half-Life 2. It can be found in the playable Half-Life 2 Beta.

It was to be used at least on the Borealis and Kraken Base to extinguish fire that could stand in the way of the player and help him progress further.[1] It was removed due to its uselessness in the other levels.

- In the Half-Life 2 files, several texture files for HUD weapon icons can be found, most of which still containing the icons for almost all of the cut weapons. The Fire Extinguisher is among them.
- The Fire Extinguisher is available in the mod Missing Information, in the Borealis chapter.
- Fire extinguishers appear throughout the Black Mesa Research Facility but cannot be used.
