When playing Half-Life 2 and episodes, I noticed that Alyx is very emotional about stalkers, as she says that they are not like the Combine because they didn't choose what happened to them and she complains if the players kills a stalker unnecessarily. This is perfectly understandable but when dealing with zombies she seems to enjoy it: she congratulates Gordon when he makes a good shot and when he makes a "zombie-Q". I don't think Alyx is naive or ignorant about the zombies' nature. For all we know, zombie victims could still be alive and they certainly didn't choose what happened to them. So, why does Alyx enjoy killing them?--UltraViolento 11:58, July 12, 2011 (UTC)

Who knows sometimes women are just crazy. PoisonHeadcrabperson
I'd assume it's because killing a stalker, while an act of mercy, is still killing something defenseless that just would have gone about its sad business otherwise. With the zombies, on the other hand, if you don't kill them, they will try their hardest to kill you. Deep down Alyx probably doesn't relish the idea of killing anything, but since she's spent pretty much her entire life killing zombies simply to survive, she's probably built up a bit of a shell to deal with it emotionally.Hakojo 07:54, July 18, 2011 (UTC)
Well, that actually makes sense. Also, I think that killing zombies with Alyx weeping after every shot would cause a wave of suicides among players.--UltraViolento 15:14, July 18, 2011 (UTC)

Not to mention the zombie she makes the quip about is a zombine and presumably she doesn't feel bad for them (being Combine) 70.36.177.121 23:09, October 6, 2011 (UTC)
