[edit] Half-Life 2
In Half-Life 2, it can be seen in Black Mesa East, providing power to the church cart in Ravenholm, and providing light to the Bugbait training area in the Vortigaunt Camp, among other locations.
[edit] Half-Life 2: Episode One
In Episode One can be found several idle generators in the City 17 Underground, most likely being used by the Resistance before the Headcrab, Barnacle and Antlion infestations, as well as Combine attacks.
[edit] Half-Life 2: Episode Two
Episode Two introduces an improved model with a brighter yellow, equipped with a crank. A Vortigaunt has the ability to start up the generator with electric discharges, a thing never witnessed on the previous generator. One is powered up by the Vortigaunt in the Victory Mine, after the larval extract is retrieved by Gordon Freeman.
