When does Gordon officially become a resistance leader? He is a sign of freedom and he himself defeated the xen leader (i dont remember his name) and stopped them from coming to earth. Thats why every citizen knows this so maybe thats why he's a resistance leader. He also started the uprising.

Source model of Gordon Freeman

It looks like official Source model for Gordon Freeman does exist in the Half Life 2: Survivor arcade game.

Age

"Gordon Freeman was 27 years old at the time of the Black Mesa Incident[source?]" - whoever added that [source?] tag should install the first HL, hit New Game and pay a little attention. 79.115.183.52 18:32, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

Add the source yourself instead of doing a pointless rant, hidden behind your IP address. Plus you forgot to remove it from the template in the infobox. Congratulations. Klow 21:07, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
Isn't it told in the beginning of Half-Life, along with his job at Black Mesa and his administrator (classified)? --BlueFlamePRG 01:13, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
Yes, it is said during the tram ride. Klow 01:15, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
Speaking of age, how old is he at the time of Half Life 2? And before anyone goes calling me a jackass, I just ordered the game off of Amazon.com yesterday. Jackass2009 05:10, February 26, 2010 (UTC)
Same age since he goes into stasis at the end of HL and the events of the Black Mesa Incident only lasted a couple of days tops.--YabbaMyIcingTalk 05:15, February 26, 2010 (UTC)
HL1 spans from May 15, 200- to May 16, 200-, to be exact. ;-) Klow 12:46, February 26, 2010 (UTC)
Ok, I was thinking he stayed the same age, but I couldn't be sure because when I type in thirdperson in the console, it just shows his hands, and an invisible thing moving to the right. Jackass2009 19:29, April 25, 2010 (UTC)

Makeover

It's stated that Gordon got a 'makeover' for the gearbox games, with a ponytail and some other stuff. This is false, just look at the player model, in HL1 only, and you'll see what I mean. --Fireman V2 02:21, December 22, 2009 (UTC)

You are right, but where did you read that? Klow 14:17, December 22, 2009 (UTC)
I remember seeing it in quite a few articles, listed as an easter egg. I can't recall specifically. --Fireman V2 20:27, December 22, 2009 (UTC)
Oh, the BS and OP4 storylines, for one. --Fireman V2 20:31, December 22, 2009 (UTC)
Well those articles have a big blinking warning above, so that's normal. ;-) Klow 00:08, December 23, 2009 (UTC)

Gordon's Hair

Is it just me, or does Gordon's hair look more red than brown? Not like he's a redhead, but it's sorta inbetween? Like auburn? I don't know, maybe it's just me. 64.9.41.228 12:45, April 1, 2010 (UTC)

I guess you may be right. Lemme think about it. —Unsigned comment by Klow (talk | contribs)
In HL1 its definitely red/orange, in HL2 its more red/brownisch. But yes, there is also red in his hair! --217.235.66.66 16:34, April 18, 2010 (UTC)
That's what redhead hair is. Redhead hair very commonly is not just a bright color. He is definitely a redhead, especially when you consider he has green eyes and light skin. Tomboy Daisy 04:22, June 8, 2010 (UTC)
After viewing all pics about him, I think it's not that obvious. More recent art have his hair just dark brown. Klow 07:56, June 8, 2010 (UTC)
They still have red tones in them. I'm a hairstylist, I know a lot about hair color. As redheads age their hair fades just like with any hair color. Natural blondes don't stay completely blonde looking. Women tend to bleach their hair even if they are natural blondes so that it shows up. Same for redheaded women, the dye their hair a stronger color. Unless someone is young or dyes their hair, redhead tones don't show up very well, and I doubt Gordon was dyeing his hair recently. If his hair was red at some point, he's still a natural redhead, and from what I can see there are still signs of him being a redhead in newer artwork. Tomboy Daisy 08:03, June 8, 2010 (UTC)

Look at his image from the orange box cover. [1] If you can't tell he's a redhead, then you should probably look up some images of redheads. Tomboy Daisy 08:08, June 8, 2010 (UTC)

All I see is brown hair... What if we say in the article that he was originally a redhair and that overtime the devs had his hair darkened?... Klow 08:10, June 8, 2010 (UTC)
Well yeah you could say that, but it would still make sense to identify his hair color as red. I think maybe I'll try to contact some special people about this, just because I like settling seemingly unimportant things in a seemingly important way. Tomboy Daisy 08:13, June 8, 2010 (UTC)
I like that as well. :P I settled for "Dark red" on the page, is that fine with you? You somehow convinced me. Klow 09:25, June 8, 2010 (UTC)
Its looks red in the GoldSrc games but it look brown in the Source games to me, but that just to me... SuperMario2 23:27, June 18, 2010 (UTC)

Resistance Leader

When does Gordon officially become a resistance leader? He is a sign of freedom and he himself defeated the xen leader (i dont remember its name) and stopped them from coming to earth. Thats why every citizen knows this so maybe thats why he's a resistance leader. He also started the uprising.

Gordon Speaks Regularly, He Is Not Silent

Gordon Freeman issues copious squad commands throughout the battle over City 17, so it is obvious that he speaks regularly to others. He is not a silent protagonist; he has no speaking lines in-game to prevent the player from feeling detachment upon hearing someone else's voice speaking for their character. The part where Alyx calls him "a man of few words" is just a poke at this programming feature.

Hand signels... SuperMario2 11:49, May 25, 2011 (UTC)

MIT Alumni?

In the A Red Letter Day chapter of Half-Life 2, Calhoun mentions that Gordon is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Shouldn't this information be placed in the Skills section or atleast somewhere in the article? --RadicalEdward2 12:40, August 18, 2011 (UTC)

His MIT education is mentioned in the Background section. CSFilms 12:53, August 18, 2011 (UTC)CSFilms

G-man?

I'm not sure of it, and I'm not sure if this is the first theory of it, but can G-man just be this guy? G (ordon) (Free)Man.

86.135.104.36 22:10, January 31, 2012 (UTC)

No. They are not the same guy. --SuperMario2 01:10, February 1, 2012 (UTC)

Reference in Fallout NV Mod: Project Nevada

In the Project Nevada mod for Fallout New Vegas, selecting a crowbar (a new weapon added by the mod) using the Pip-Boy will show a picture of the Vault-Boy wearing a hazard suit and Dr Freeman's glasses.

The image can be seen at http://s37.photobucket.com/albums/e67/thelaserman/Fallout/HD%20Icons/?action=view&current=Crowbar.png&sort=ascending

I think this should be added to the article in the "In Other Media" section.

Height

His height is listed in this article as 1.7-1.8 meters (5'7-5'11). Apparently this comes from the height scale for HL2. But isn't Freeman the same height as every other human in that game? If so, that's hardly indicative of anything.

I think so.--Awphud cz留永锋 (Reply←→Edits)Ak47hud cz 17:44, July 20, 2014 (UTC)
