Is it me or does everyone seem to think Striders are robots? I can't help but see how silly this is as it's very obvious the combine conquer other races and give them multiple enhancements. That said, I think the Striders are organic beings that were enhanced by the Combine, not alien robots.

I wouldn't say 'everyone' thinks they're robots, most of the intelligent fans of the series I know agree that they're organic. --MattyDienhoff 12:21, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

It adds to making the Combine look more sinister or evil, enslaving races and genetically/mechanically enhancing them for military purposes.
