We Are Pulling Out

We Are Pulling Out is the third chapter in Opposing Force, the first expansion pack of Half-Life. It details Adrian Shephard's attempt to reach the HECU's extraction point to escape Black Mesa.

Previous Chapter: Welcome to Black Mesa

You start in the train you entered in the last level. As it ascends, watch out for two Slaves which teleport in to attack you. Once it reaches the end and the door opens, be careful as you collect the pistol opposite- two more Slaves will appear behind you. The Otis here is packing an Eagle- he comes in useful ahead, take him with you and keep him alive. Through the door and up the stairs, fight through the Headcrabs and Zombies. Continue up the stairs to the left. Watch through the window and crawl through when it smashes, open the door for Otis. Ahead is a security door- Otis will open it and you can avail yourself of the ammo inside. Get on and activate the lift.

You can't save the soldier above- take out the Slaves and smash the crates here for ammo. Jump onto the green boxes, smash open the vent, jump onto the HEV charger and then in. Come through to a welcoming sight. Have a chat with the soldier in the next room if you like. In the next room, collect the ammo. If you're quick you can get behind the scientist and collect the batteries in his prison. If you do this, smash open the vent in the corner to progress, otherwise follow the corridor around and down. Get out into the road and run towards the helicopter...

Turn around and wait- Slaves will teleport in and burrow through the left wall. Kill them and walk into the hole they create to end the chapter.
